Kids are home

The kiddos all had a great time! Tough national though..... All the boys made their mains at one point or another.

Day 1:

Poor Jacob came off the gate ready for some serious action only to find out his tire was flat. :(

Brandon made the mains both days.....Took a 6th place out of a bunch of really tough 8I's.

Blake took a 5th place in his open and was just a few inches shy of making his main in class.

Dahvin made his main for both and took a 4th in open and a 7th in class.

Great Job GUYS!!

Day 2:

Jacob had some killer rounds but in the semi's had a tough rack. Was in last coming out of the first turn and picked 2 kids off. Just missing the main by a 1/2 of a tire. Great effort Jake! Way to push it to the very end!

Brandon once again made his main and did awesome! Bettered his place from 6th to 5th today!

Blake made both open and class mains today! He fought it out and took a 4th in open and bumped bars with some really tough kids in class and took a 6th place. So much heart Blake!! Good job!

Dahvin made his open main and just missed his class main by a few inches. Almost buddy!

So darn proud of the boys for the heart and determination to represent Kamikaze!! Good Job guys and thanks so much to D & K for taking the time to get them all out there!

Go211.com will be there. Apparently they ste up late but an announcement was made that they will be up and running today to check out www.go211.com to watch the race via a live webcast.

Motos were posted and here's the 411 on our riders:

Jacob - moto 113 (13 riders) gates 6 & 2

Blake - Open - moto 26 (14 riders) gates 5 & 1
- class - moto 121 (20 riders) gates 6 & 2

Brandon - moto 115 (17 riders) gates 4 & 8

Dahvin - Open - moto 28 (11 riders) gates 2 & 6
- Class- moto 129 (25 riders) gates 2 & 6

National #1 Day is here!

I heard all the boys look wicked fast. Weather's great...no wind nice temp.....and the boys looking goood! Can't ask for more! Blake and Dahvin are racing open + class. Brandon and Jacob are racing class. Boys had a good night sleep and all had a great cooked to order breakfast at the hotel. It's a good day people!

Main Events

Jacob took 2nd-got out really fast & fell into 2nd place out of the 1st turn. Was catching the kid....would have caught with alittle more track.

Brandon took 5th-Had a decent but got pinched in the first straight...held his line and held them off to the finish.

Dahvin took 3rd-was catching the kid in 2nd.....just needed a little more real estate.

Good job guys get some food in the tummies and get a good night sleep.

2nd Round

Jacob & Bradon made it to the main events. Blake was going for a move in the first turn and a kid went down in front of him....he had no where else to go. Off to the mains....

1st round pre-race

Dahvin qualified first round...straight to main. Jacob got tied up in the first turn, the kids bike got stuck to his.......Brandon had a photo finish....they called the other kid. Blake took 3rd first round. 2nd here they come. Weather sucks....the wind is killing them. :( At least it's not cold.

They are all gonna race the pre-race tonight! Will keep you posted on the status! :)

Practice

All the boys got their practice in. The wind started picking up and turn into a tornado. All of the them looked good but it was hard to really gage it since there was a head wind down the 1st straight and 3rd straight. Tough for them to even pedal through it. Thank goodness they will not be riding at this time tomorrow as the wind seemed to get worse later in the day. Back at the hotel just relaxing now. The boys want to check out the indoor pool and then off to dinner.

Got to New Mexico just in time!

Ok.....guys got there ok. Actually made it in time for the hotels free breakfast! :) 1 meal down. They went to the track and all agreed it was looking really good. Duke City packed the dirt down just like Chula Vista's. It looks like it's a fast track. The boys are resting now with full belly's and will soon head out for the 1st round of Practice. Dave has Dahvin & Brandon....Kelly's got Blake & Jake. Restup guys......it's gonna be a crazy weekend!
